Lavender Syrup


Lavender syrup is yummy  drizzled over strawberries, greek yoghurt and toasted almonds ( added indulgence whipped cream/double cream). Can be mixed with sparking mineral water as a freshing summer drink.
Makes 1 litre.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups ( approx 436gm) 
  • Sugar 
  • 1/2 litre water
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 2 tablespoons grape juice

1.

Boil all ingredients, then  simmer for 5 minutes , add 3 tablespoons of chopped lavender flowers( Fresh not dried).

Take of the heat and stand for 2 hours and strain.
